HONEYSUCKLE
One of the things I’ve been working on lately has been my relationship with time.
Spending my time well.
Being present.
Stacking beneficial contributions.
Adjusting my beliefs about time.
Ditching the idea that desires move slowly.
All that good stuff.
This morning, I noticed some old, crusty beliefs popped up and jumped on them immediately so they wouldn’t fester.
And moments later, I received clear cut evidence that the internal work I just did was in fact, working. It was kind of like a little wink to keep doing what I’m doing.
But what stood out most to me was that it didn’t “take time” - it was as close to instantaneous as you can get. In the moment I shifted myself, the pieces began to move and the effects were immediate.
After this little incident, I ended up going for one of my usual meditative walks. No phone, no distractions.
About 10 minutes into the walk, I noticed a baby fig poking through a fence and I stopped for a moment. As I continued to look, I saw there were hundreds of figs. The entire street was lined with fig trees.
Lol, do you already know where this is going?
Of course this reminded me of Jesus and the fig tree (I swear, reading the Bible last year was one of the best decisions.)
Anyway.
Now, every time I see figs, it reminds me of instant manifestation. In the same way, when Jesus walked past the barren fig tree and cursed it, the tree withered immediately and the disciples started freaking out!
They were like “whoa, holy shit how did you do that?!”
And Jesus was like “ummm hello? FAITH! The same thing I’ve been saying this entire time. Have faith with zero doubt and you can do whatever you want, literally.”
At least, Jesus is sassy when I read the New Testament.
Like, faith, duh.
If you haven’t heard me talk about this before, one of the things I most notice about being connected to God is that it amplifies your physical senses. Just imagine God looking through your eyes, feeling through your fingertips, smelling through your nose.
I’m sure you can imagine this really kicks things up a notch.
After passing the fig trees on my walk, I turned the corner, as I’ve done a hundred times over the past few months, and I got a huge whiff of honeysuckle.
At first I doubted my nose, as honeysuckle is one of my favorite plants and I’ve never noticed this before.
When I looked down, there was an ocean of honeysuckle - the entire hillside was covered in blooms.
To me, that’s exactly what exercising faith feels like at first… you detect it, but can’t see it, and part of you might feel a little nuts for trusting your nose before your eyes.
But the reality is, the honeysuckle was literally right under your nose. It wasn’t far, or down the street, nor did it “take time.”
It’s right there.
When I got home, I ate lunch, and made myself some strawberry shortcake.
As I devoured spoonfuls of strawberries and whipped cream, a memory came to mind…
A couple years ago, I was recording an Astral Playground session while at my family’s house (it was “Atomic Love” for those wondering) and one of the things that came up for me was strawberry shortcake. It was purely energetic - it smelled, looked, and felt like strawberry shortcake to me during that meditation.
After we wrapped up, I walked upstairs to find my grandmother making strawberry shortcake. I then realized, the entire time I was vibing with this strawberry shortcake energy, it was also happening in 3D reality at the exact same time.
Fast forward to today, with me sitting at the kitchen table eating strawberry shortcake, I couldn’t help but laugh at the reminder. Of all the things for me to eat today, of course it was that.
So let this be your sign that yes, when you’re focusing, when you’re flexing your faith, movement is always happening, even if you can’t see it.
And if you like all my yapping, you should most definitely come to the group chat!
