THE MAGIC OF MEDITATION

When I was 20 I moved to a new city, and within two months of moving, my life completely fell apart.

I lost all my money.
I lost my home.
I lost 2 cars.
I lost my college best friend.
I lost all my clients from the previous business I was running at the time.

I was away from family, and only had one friend in the area…

And somehow, after shit completely hit the fan, I managed to couch surf for the next 4 months.

My time couch surfing taught me more about reality creation than any other season of my life…

It was such a stressful time after I lost everything, I had no clue how everything was going to come together. I felt like I needed so many different things all at the same time, it was beyond overwhelming.

I needed a car, a job, a place to live, money… my freaking sanity to be restored.

Right after the holidays, the woman I was staying with unexpectedly pulled the plug on our arrangement and I had to find a new place to stay on extremely short notice.

At this time, I was also doing a ton of in-person networking, and one of the women I met at a networking event offered me a room for one month. She was heading back to France and was renting out her house long term, so I had to have another place to live by January 31st.

And let me tell you, deadlines and time crunches stress me out so bad. Naturally, there were lots of stressful thoughts floating around…

Where should I start?
Should I find a place to live or a job first?
How will I even have enough money to move?
Will I be able to get all this done in time?

Not to mention, there were a dozen other stressors going on at this time, and I couldn’t even begin to solve it all mentally. There were so many problems all at once, and I needed so many different things, I didn’t know where to begin.

So I just… meditated.

A lot.

For whatever reason, I’ve always had an unusual stamina when it comes to spiritual disciplines. Some days, I was putting in a full 8 hours of meditation.

By no means am I suggesting people should do this. And let’s be honest, by muggle standards, my behavior would have been categorized as irresponsible or lazy.

While most people probably would have been refreshing Zillow every 5 seconds and frantically pleading with God as they mass email their resume, I chose to sculpt everything out in the astral instead.

Some days I cried a lot, other days I had difficulty focusing and getting into “the pocket.” Some days, my love life occupied most of my focus in meditation. Sometimes I was deep in my imagination, other days I had to wrestle distractions… every day was different.

When I look back on that time, I didn’t give much thought to failure or doubt because I had already lost everything. So I just kept meditating like my life depended on it.

Bored? Meditate!

Confused? Meditate!

Need a solution? Meditate!

Just to be clear, I’m not just talking about silent meditation where you stop thinking or focus on your breathing. To me, meditation is like entering a second world.

If you’ve ever done my Astral Playground sessions, or taken one of my classes that’s heavy on energetics, then you probably know what I’m talking about.

My point is, there is a lot to do! Sometimes there is so much I want to do in meditation, I can’t even squeeze it all into a one hour session.

So anyway, I was doing these super long meditations every single day (typically 3 hours was the absolute shortest I would do). And before I knew it, everything started clicking into place…

  • I received a check for $12,000 (yes, seriously). It was an insurance payout for my car that was totaled from being hit by a forklift on a construction zone. This was triple the Kelley Blue Book value.

  • The last week of January, I looked for rooms to rent on Craigslist and found the perfect spot. It was the first, and only place I looked at.

  • After I moved into the new place, I also got the first job I applied for - not only that, but I negotiated my way into a management position and the district manager offered me an even higher pay than my asking price.

  • I also received an unexpected gift of $4,000 for a down payment on a new car.

Literally everything was solved.

And while I absolutely had to apply myself at that time it wasn’t… like that. The agonizing, gnashing-of-teeth and weeping as you exhaust yourself from physical effort kind of way.

When I look back at all my greatest achievements, my most miraculous manifestations, and my best seasons of life… they were all backed by the energetic work. Every. Single. Time.

As a quick sidebar, I don’t necessarily think that meditation is the secret sauce for everyone in the same way it is for me. That’s a matter of whatever modalities work best for you. What I do think matters here, is the development of your inner world and your energetic faculties.

I often look back on this period of my life and think about my 20 year old self. After that difficult season, I felt 10 feet tall and bulletproof. I was like “holy shit if I was able to get through all that with meditation (aka: my connection God) I know for sure that I’m creating this life.”

I have so many other stories to share, and will be writing those in the coming days/weeks. And also… a new program is dropping very soon. There may have been some clues about it in this post 😏

That’s all for now, chat soon!
